Note:
There is essentially no difference in meaning between "X" and "Platform X" both refer to the same microblogging service, formerly known as Twitter.
X: This is the official name of the social network, which was acquired by Elon Musk in 2022 and later renamed.
Platform X: This is the more precise term, clarifying that it is a digital social media platform (a social network).

1. Protection: Before you begin, please make backups.
FTP and database

1a: Security measures
ACP / GENERAL / Board settings:
Disable board set to yes until your works are completed. The reason for this is that you are also making changes to the database.
Ensure that prosilver is set as the default style. Go to the administration area under Board settings and set the default style also the guest style to prosilver.

2. Safety Notice
The original graphic into style (prosilver/theme/images) icons_contact.png renamed to org_icons_contact.png.

2a. Assuming you are using multiple styles, you load the new graphic icons_contact.png into each style / theme / images that you use, and only if the graphic icons_contact.png (please note the .png format) is used in that style.

3. Database / SQL-Browser
Edit the link in the database: Locate into phpbb_profile_fields. Find phpbb_twitter within it; the link should be located under field_contact_url. Replace https://twitter.com/%s with https://x.com/%s
and save the edit.

If everything works, make sure that item 1a (Security measures) in the ACP (Admin Control Panel) is set back to your default settings.

Please also create new backups (FTP and database) and store them in a safe place.
