The design is based on the style "Star Trek" for phpBB 2.0 and phpBB 3.0 by Scott Stubblefield (original author) and in parts the adaptations for prosilver of the phpBB branch Olympus (3.0.11 - 3.0.14) by Kirk.

Style Description: A design especially for StarTrek fans. A slider in the header shows spaceships and completes the look (desktop). Customised forum icons are used.

Note: Numerous changes since phpBB-3.2.x ( phpBB-Rhea), since earlier standard concepts (phpBB-Olympus, phpBB-Ascraeus) were no longer binding, have been redesigned in the style StarTrek-Excerpts and thus taken into account for phpBB "Proteus". Thanks to Kirk for being able to port his style since Olympus through Talk19Zehn.

Requirements: A child-style, parent style prosilver (prosilver must be installed). This design requires knowledge of HTML, CSS and phpBB.
Note: The readme.txt informs you about credits and the style history.

Features: The HTML and CSS approach, which differs from the phpBB standard, rounds off the appearance with own ideas by Talk19Zehn (page-header and more). A slider in the header area shows spaceships (Desktop mode).
Important: You can activate two boxes (overlay) next to the left part of the forum by installing the supplied extension in this package (ext/showandclosebox) exclusively for this style.
With the extension "showandclosebox", which I developed and supplied for this design, 2 overlay boxes can be installed on the left-hand side of the board. These boxes have different views and functions depending on the status of the visitor, guest or registered user:
As a guest, a "Status inactive" is displayed in the top left corner, which opens the login window when clicked.

For registered and logged-in users, a "Show" button appears to the left of the forum, which can be used to open an additional overlay window. The extension is language-based (!) and further information, such as the styling etc., can be found in the "readme.txt".

Important notes:
The installation requires the current phpBB system version and the default style prosilver, which corresponds with the phpBB system version. Please pay attention to the information in the readme.txt as well as in the source code(!) and in the footer, i.e. please observe the licences and copyrights of third parties for that design.

Important: EXTENSION
Before updating the style older versions it must be uninstalled the EXT Show and close your box, as the old files must be deleted. It is advisable to create a backup before uninstalling the extension if the extension contains your own texts, links or changes. See "Completely removing an extension from your board" and then "Installing an extension"!

Install the extension:
After downloading, unzip this file and upload the entire "showandclosebox" folder to root/ext.
In the administration area under Customise -> Extension management, Manage extensions -> Disabled Extensions in the "Show and close your box" line, click on Enable.

the style StarTrekExcerpts is updated for phpBB 3.3.17. This version namend "Young Bertie" is a maintenance and security release of the 3.3.x branch which fixes four security issues with one being a critical security issue.
